In India Some color of LPG cylinder are regulated by PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation) .Different countries aboard, may have different color .These color in India is set by   PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation),named Organisation.

Why some cylinder are red in color?

      Some LPG cylinders are some in Red color and some in Blue in color . First of all ,I cleared on think cylinders we use in our household are  in color  Red in color. As Red Color is Considered  signal of Danger. As LPG cylinder contains Liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) , which is highly inflammable gas which cause a lot of harm, when use carelessly.

Scientifically : the Red Color has Highest Wavelength in a visible  spectrum Which makes it  Least Scattered. it is easily visible from long distances. Thus , this is scientific behind using red color at dangerous places.

Why Some Cylinders are Blue in Color?

We have often Seen some Cylinder Blue in color .There cylinder are meant and Supply for Commercial purposes That's why These cylinders are Blue in color .But These also contains Highly inflammable gas , LPG ,which can be dangerous .these cylinders also contains a Red Band on it ,Indicating danger.you can see in Image below.

There is not any Big reason to paint commercial cylinders in Blue color. it is just to Distinguish between Household cylinders and Commercial cylinders, this has given a different color and Recognition.

Now you got to know about that why in India different types of cylinder has different color and from now you will not amaze to see the blue colored cylinder.At last i only want to suggest you all that these LPG  Cylinders contains Highly Inflammable gas, so use these cylinder carefully.
